By creating a Pile of Books account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

The service

Pile of Books is a personal shelf for books, comics and manga, reading logs and stats. It is currently free to use. The app is evolving: features may change, be added or be removed.

Your account

You sign in with Google or Apple and are responsible for access to the account you choose.
An account is personal. Don't use another person's account.

Your content

What you add (your shelf, reviews, notes and quotes) remains yours. You can export everything in Settings.
You allow us to store and process this content only to operate the app, as described in the privacy policy.
In clubs and on your public page, share only what you have the right to share. Don't post illegal or offensive content or violate other people's rights.

Catalog details and covers

Covers and book details come from public catalogs (BrasilAPI, Open Library, Google Books, MangaDex, Jikan, Comic Vine) and AI photo identification. They may contain errors; check before saving. Trademarks and covers belong to their owners and are shown only to identify books and comics on your shelf.

Acceptable use

Don't try to access other people's data, overload the service with automation, bypass usage limits or use the app illegally. Accounts doing this may be suspended.

Warranties and responsibility

The app is provided as is. We do our best to keep it available and your data safe, but can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We recommend exporting a backup from time to time.

Closing your account

You can stop using the app whenever you like and remove your content in the app. To delete your account and all data, email neigirao@gmail.com.

Changes and applicable law

These terms may change; the date above shows the current version. Brazilian law applies, including the Consumer Protection Code and LGPD.
