A Skoob alternative to organize your reading

Familiar reading logs

• Status (want to read, reading, read, rereading, didn't finish), ratings, reviews, start and finish dates.
• Yearly goals showing whether you're ahead of or behind your pace.
• A diary with reading sessions, pages and time.

Real reading stats

• Pages by month, genres, authors, authors' countries, publishers and publication years.
• Year in review with a story-sized share card.
• An optional public page with just your stats, without exposing your shelf.

Comics get the same care as books

• Comics and manga with series, volumes and collection progress.
• A notice of the next volume missing from your shelf.

A real shelf, beyond a list

• Separate what you own, want to buy and read on loan.
• Translator, edition, copies, book location and condition.
• Bulk changes: update the status or location of several books at once.

Quick adding

• Search suggestions after 3 letters, from catalogs with good Brazilian edition coverage.
• Scan barcodes with your phone camera and identify from cover photos.
• A notice when a book or comic is already on your shelf, to avoid duplicates.

Your data belongs to you

• Import from Goodreads, StoryGraph or a spreadsheet, with review before saving.
• Full JSON or CSV export whenever you like.
• A private shelf: no ads or selling your data.

Is it free?

Yes. Pile of Books is free and doesn't show ads.

Do I need to stop using Skoob?

No. You can use both: one for the reading community, the other to organize your own shelf and see your stats.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It works in your phone browser and can be installed on your home screen as an app. You need an internet connection to open your shelf.

Does my shelf become public?

No. Only you can see your shelf. If you like, publish just your stats on your own page.
